How does the course work?
1°-Knowledge development
You will receive all the online study material for the advanced course through the PADI system so you can study in the comfort of your home.
Afterwards there'll 1 practical class on land, where we will go over the theory of deep diving, underwater navigation, and search and recovery.
We will carry out exercises on the ground to establish the procedures before continuing with the practice at sea.

With deep diving you will expand your limits and be able to dive up to 40m.
However, for this type of diving to be fun and safe, it is essential that you correctly learn the techniques involved.
You will be prepared to explore most diving sites around the world.
Have you ever stopped to think about how you would locate yourself at the bottom of the sea?
On this adventure, you will learn visual reference techniques and navigation instruments, such as a compass, to locate yourself and return to the point of origin of the dive.
No more getting lost following the turtles!
3°- Many adventures still await you
On the 3rd day of training, there'll be 3 dives in Arvoredo that will complement the advanced course training. The adventures will be: Search and Recovery, Buoyancy and Fish Identification.
Did you drop your camera while diving?
In the search and recovery adventure you will learn how to recover small and large objects from the bottom of the sea.
You will learn to perform search patterns, deal with adversities, such as low visibility, and use the lifting bag to retrieve objects.
What defines a good diver is their ability to control their body, ascend, descend, hover on the seabed and swim smoothly without great effort.
On the PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy, you will learn all these skills, such as controlling your breathing, swimming techniques and weight control.
You will become a master of buoyancy and will be able to enjoy the most fragile ecosystems even more closely without damaging them.
What was that fish? This is a very common question after diving.
On this adventure, you will learn to identify the main families of fish and their main characteristics.

Ilha do Arvoredo
Boat
In the essence of every diver there is a very strong desire to preserve nature. Curiosity about the world beneath the waves and the animals that inhabit the depths has attracted many generations of divers and we have inherited the tradition of protecting the environment that we enjoy every time we dive.
Diving is our passion and teaching new people about this world is our life goal.
Água Viva Mergulho was founded in 2012 on these pillars. We believe that every diver has a duty to preserve nature and we strive to incorporate this mission into our diving operations, whether collecting fishing hooks, plastic bottles or organizing specific seabed cleaning expeditions.
For all our dedication to training conscious divers and promoting environmental conservation actions, we were honored by the Green Star Awards.
The Ilha do Arvoredo Marine Biological Reserve is considered the best diving spot in southern Brazil, known for its marine diversity with various types of fish, turtles, seahorses and rays, as well as being on the migration route of humpback and Franca whales. The island is also an important archaeological site formed by burials characteristic of human occupation 4000 years ago.
The diving spots in Arvoredo differ in their characteristics, which can vary according to the formation of the bottom, minimum and maximum depths, most commonly found species, currents, or even specific characteristics, which provide a less conventional dive, such as a shipwreck, cave , etc.
The diving spots are all located in the southern portion of the island, the best known are: Ponta do Farol, Saco do Vidal, Saco do Farol, Baía do Engenho, Baía das Tartarugas, Saco do Batismo and Saco do Capim.
Our boat Água Viva VII was built in 2013, designed with specifications to best serve recreational diving.
